Default Mass. Senate primary: is there anyone to vote *for*?

I've read the anti-Capuano threads, the anti-Coakley threads, the anti-Khazei threads, and the anti-Pagliuca threads.

Party-wise, I'm unenrolled, so I have an otherwise-unused primary vote that I can give one of them. Any suggestions?

If GOAL has ratings posted for any of them, I'd love to see that info. Haven't found it on goal.org, at least.

If you are for RKBA, I wouldn't waste my time with any of those 4 clowns. The commericals for them say it all

Wait until the general election and vote for Scott Brown. GOAL gives Brown an A+ rating, I believe.

I'm registered as a democrat right now so I will vote in the primary for the weakest candidate to go up against the Republican

The OP has a point and we should vote for the least evil, and tell them why. That's not a push: it's a nudge. It's a long battle and enough nudges can make a difference over time.

If you can find a least evil in that group you are a better judge of character than I am.

But I do tend to agree with your position.

You can leave the democrat party (a statement in it's own right) and still vote this way in the primary. Unenrolled voters in MA can vote in either primary.

This. Don't waste your time voting in the primary. Don't waste your time voting in the final for Tim Cahill, it will just siphon votes from Brown. Sorry Horrible, I couldn't resist the urge to edit your quote!

Edit: Duh, Tim Cahill is running for Governor, not Senator. Don't vote for him in that election!

I think you can change it back to Independent (which is a party) or Unenrolled right at the polling place. If you don't, you will be listed as which ever party you pulled a ballot for. At least that's how it was last election.

You are correct, by "independent" I meant unenrolled. Unenrolled voters just state what primary they wish to vote in when they arrive at the polling place.

    *Surprisingly* no.
"The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them."

That's the difficulty with democracy sometimes: it's the worst of all possible systems, except for all others. As Senator McCain's mom said "Hold your nose and vote."
