Default Message to deer hunters: Try harder!

Last night I hit a deer on Route 2 near 128. I was doing about 45 mph and it just appeared in front of my headlights. Nothing I could do. The statie said he was impressed that I kept it together and got off the road safely.

He also said they get two or three of these a night between 128 and 495, Pike to Route 2. Come on, guys! Stop slacking!

Also, forget about shotguns, etc. The best weapon to use against deer appears to be a car.

I work around there and once a week I dodge either a deer or a turkey while driving. In fact, there are 4 turkeys outside the window right now.

I was coming home from the airport with luggage. No gear at all. And nothing to carry it in, since my car had to be towed.
