Bug out in a Travel Trailer?!
I seached and did not find anything on "motorhomes" or "RV's"...so sorry if this is a dupe...
I was just wondering what people's thoughts were on buggin' out with my family in my 24' 2005 Trail Lite Travel trailer...obviously you would need to have a place to go, but is a very good idea? For one thing it is pretty conspicuous and would probably attract more people than you would want if TSHTF...BUT on the plus side it can carry a lot of stuff and would be a good "base" I think...
I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel with a 95gal "veggie" tank so I am not concerned with range.
How could you camoflauge it??? (I think that would be essential) What supplies would I fill it with?
Any other ideas and input would be greatly appreciated!

Rather than bug out with it I think the best option would be to pre position it at a possible bug out location. I would load it with warm clothing, sleeping bags and blankets. Have some tools on hand and make sure the propane tanks are full. I would not store food and water unless its in a climate controlled location or you leave it plugged in.

I wouldnt want to be towing it in a BO situation. It would severely restrict your mobility. If you could preposition it or get out early than you would be OK.

Pretty much would have to leave early if possible.

I wouldnt store anything you couldnt live without in the trailer during BO. If you get stuck and have to dump the trailer you wouldnt want to have to take time to unload it.

I was thinking that, ideally I would store mostly food and some nice to have items. The bug out bags would remain in the truck incase we had to drop the trailer and run.
