    Hi Craig,

The club site has detailed info with the exception of distances... what are they anticipated to be?

I'll be there with some rifle leather.... piles o' slings!

I'll bring a Scout or two as well if anyone needs to borrow a rifle.

Im in, I have never done this before and was wondering if anyone has any tips for a first timer? I have a custom 260 with a 28" tube that might be what i am using or I have a 308 with a 22" tube. I would love to use my 260 as that is my go to rifle as far as accuracy goes but it is heavy and long. I am driving from Raynham MA if anyone wants to commute together.

Sorry Craig, I can not make it out there on 3/18 (other plans already). Good luck, have fun!

THe first year was a combination woods/range course and treking up/down the hills made traveling light a good plan.
The second year was all on the rifle range.
    2/3-sized USPSA paper targets
There were some tight shots on these last year and knowing you holds at 25,50,75,100,... would make hitting "A" zones easier.
I think a 200 yard gong shot was the longest shot both years. With 2/3 USPSA the gong may not be the most challenging.

No idea about this year, I would be ready for either. Sounds like either rifle will put you in the "General Purpose Rifle" class as I would think both were over 40".

Andy - awesome! see you there.

(original) MAShooter - sorry to hear that - see you in a few weeks.

Ruger Slinger - I'm guessing your rifles are over 40" long (and esp. the custom 28" bbl one) over 8lb, so you need to compete in GPR unless your rifle can meet all criteria - you can review the rules on the website. The 260 Rem is a great round and meets the stated caliber requirements.

    Craig

Steel and paper targets 4MOA and larger (effectively - think Appleseed/AQT - might be some new stuff this year)

This was a great time, I am glad I took the ride out there for this. I still blame my misses on my wife, she reloaded my ammo for me, and forgot to put a primer in one of them. I hate that noise... "click... F***"

Oh well still did ok. Thanks Craig for putting this on and keep me posted on when the next one is going to be.
