NES Photography Thread...
Haven't had one of these in a while. I know we have a shit-ton of photographers on NES... What do you guys use and what do you usually shoot?
I'm an Olympus shooter. I have an E-3 (with the extended grip) pro-DSLR and a E-410, and a couple of standard grade lenses plus a pro-grade macro and a pro-grade telezoom that I mainly use for sports.
BTW: This thread is clearly useless without pics. (Apologies for the low-res photos)

Canon EOS 20d (had hoped to upgrade it this year, not looking so good in the cash dept. though).
I do some corporate work as an adjunct to my business, mostly Executive Portraits, some product and landscape photography … do a little bit of non-corporate portraiture here and there as well.

Nikon D200. Usually shoot in Aperture Priority for DOF control. Always shoot RAW to allow the most options later. Use a WhiBal for post process color correction. Use the 18-200 Nikon zoom that I got with the Kit. Great lens.
Have an old F100 that I used to shoot Velvia in. Don't miss scanning slides one bit.
Use PhaseOne CaptureOne 4.x as my postprocess software.
Nothing fancy. Bought the D200 before a trip to India back in 2005 as I wasn't looking forward to all the film. Ended up taking over 1800 images of which about 400 were what I considered 'keepers'. Enjoyed the whole digital process so much, I've never touched the F100 since. I do miss my Gitzo tripod which was stolen in India.A clip is not a magazine, a mag is not a clip.
Neither is a grip a stock, and "stock" does not mean grip.
A bullet is not a cartridge, nor is the converse true.
Folks should be more careful when they use the words they do.
A revolver has a cylinder, but only one you see,
and cylinders have chambers, five or six most commonly.
I do not wish to nitpick, but improvement would be seen,
if we could bring ourselves to say exactly what we mean.

We have a NES Photography Social Group

I have a Nikon D200 with a quiver of lenses. Mamiya RB67 (film), Zone VI 4X5 Field Camera (film). Those are the three I use most frequently.Life Member NRA

D300s, with 12-24, 24-70, and 80-200 lenses. But I don't have many pictures up on the web yet. Like Chris, I usually shoot in Aperture Priority.
Here's a not very good picture, that I haven't done any post-processing to:
That's a peregrine falcon. I had very little time stop my truck, reach into the back seat, open camera bag, grab my camera, change lenses, and snap off a couple pictures before he flew off.Last edited by M1911; 09-30-2009 at 12:56 PM.
