Default Help! Anyone had these symptoms?

Last night something woke me up...I felt odd. After a minute or two I felt really flush. After another couple of minutes I felt so hot that I was burning up, but my wife said my skin was cool to the touch. I was so hot that I got out of bed to look at my skin....it felt like I had a sun burn or something.

My skin looked ok, but then I started to feel woozy....and my respiration got faster,so I went and laid down on my bed. We have a BP cuff in the house, and it was 115/65 and my pulse was 100. I am on BP meds and take it in the A.M. I had my wife grab me an ice pac, and after a bit I cooled back down.
Everything kind of went back to normal after aboout 45 minutes.

I have an appointment with my primary care Doc at Mass General on Tues. The appt was for sleep apnea, but I think it may get a little more in depth now.

Does this all sound heart related, or possible a panic attack.....WEB MD doesn't really have these symptoms all together.

    Any ideas are appreciated.

Do you have allergies or asthma? When you stop breathing (sleep apnea or asthma) your heart rate will speed up, you'll feel woozy because of the lack of oxygen and you may start sweating and getting panic.. any shortness of breath at all?

When you got up the next morning was your throat hoarse? Did you feel like you had to clear your throat often that day? It is possible that you had a bout of tachacardia which could result from your heart working extra hard to pump blood due to low oxy...

Have them check your thyroid levels too... I have symptoms like that occasionally, but it's caused by Graves..

I'd go with the sleep suffocation theory - at least for me. I don't know why but have had a nasty case of rhinitis for the past week - everything in my nose and sinuses is swollen and sore, but there's no infection, and I can't breathe through the nose at all. Wake up several times a night with the same symptoms.

I did have some SOB...which may be why my respirations increased. My throat seems fine...or at least normal.

I had to give up taking vitamin B complex because of those symptoms. (The reaction is called "flushing", and it really sucks to happen after you've already left home for the day and you're out in public.) But, you said you didn't take vitamins. No idea!
