New Hampshire State Primary, Republican Candidates.
I just checked the sites of "Smith for Governor and Ovide2012 and found that Kevin Smith is a Member of The New Hampshire Police Chiefs Assoc., Well you all know what they and the NRA did to our "Constitutional Carry Bill". He also uses the boilerplate BS that He will not propose any laws or Regulations.
Ovide only sayes that hunts, fishes and snowmobiles.
Primary is Sept 11, 2012
PS, Would a mod please correct my spelling in the title I can't get spell check to work.
Thank YouLast edited by JWPaolilliJr; 08-23-2012 at 08:16 AM.

Here is what Ovide says:
http://www.ovide2012.com/priorities
A pretty standard paragraph on the second amendment. I want to know where he really stands.Second Amendment Rights:
The right to keep and bear arms represents a fundamental and compelling human right embodied in our State and U.S. Constitutions. I believe that these rights reflect an individual right to keep and bear arms for any lawful purpose. Responsible gun ownership for self-defense, or for activities such as hunting and shooting sports that go along with it, is an important part of New Hampshire’s heritage, and as Governor, I will be an advocate for protecting these rights.
ETA:
It is not entirely clear on his stance.

It is looking like NHFC has it out for Ovide for whatever reason.Last edited by soloman02; 08-23-2012 at 12:44 AM.

GONH released their voter guide for 2012. They gave Ovide a C-. Of course they give no explaination for that grade. They gave smith a B?.
http://www.gonh.org/uploads/515/2012...ters_Guide.pdf
What is odd is that GONH gave Ovide a good grade in 2010 yet in 2012 they give him a lower grade.Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid. -Han Solo

Looks like it's going to be a Hassan v. Lamontagne showdown. Hassan is definitely the less moonbatty of the Dems compared to Kennedy and Cilley. Probably a close political clone of Lynch.
Kevin Smith doesn't even own a gun. And he's a little too sheepish around 2A rights.
Ovide is definitely more 2A compared to Smith.
What conditions Ovide is talking about, who knows. Smith wants to "study" Constitutional Carry. Not sure how long it takes to read the Second Amendment, but Smith still wants a study. Whatever that means. The two were also slightly unaligned on their gun control positions.
Smith said that he would want to comprehensively study what passing a constitutional carry law would do for the state.
Lamontagne told the audience that he is the only candidate for governor who owns both a firearm and a hunting license.
"If the legislature passes constitutional carry with the right conditions, I will sign that bill," he said.

Smith belongs to the New Hampshire Police Chiefs Assoc.
Didn't GONH Work with the NRA to scuttle our Constitutional Carry Bill? So that would explain why they are giving Ovide the down grade."Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end"

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. - C.S. Lewis

I've met Ovide in Milford, NH when he was working on the senate race previously. Seemed decent, business man, appears to support 2A pretty well. I'm looking for someone pro-business and pro-2A so he likely has my vote.
Anyone that has to "study" constitutional carry is not my friend... and I would be very hard pressed to vote for a dem for governor in NH.
ETA: Also any friend of the NH Police Chiefs association should never have a chance at the governors seat.If you're not aware our country is full of and run by morons, you're probably one of them.
When a politician says he's fighting for the soul of our country, think of it like the devil saying he's got a deal for you if you just sign on the line.
