If you pull a trigger, you have to pull together.

Depends on what the situation. If he goes in the water and can't swim, he's screwed. Because daddy doesn't know how to swim either.

If there was something else though, I would at least try.

I will take some risk to save my dog but I won't push him off a train track to die in his place type of thing...

Despite being an LEO, I'd die and kill for my dog. I have been saying for years that I love dogs more than people.

EDIT: As an example, when I get home from work I say hi to my wife then spend at least a good 2 minutes rolling around with my dog. Then I hug and kiss my wife and ask about her day. It took awhile, but she has accepted this.

My dog passed before I had to ever answer this question.

Only thing he ever tells me is "more bacon treats".

My dog is my best friend. I saved her from a really bad situation, and she in turn saved me when things got really down. Pets rely on us to be their protectors and rely on us for food love and shelter. I wouldn't hesitate to dive in after my dog if she fell in, because she is my responsibility. I trust her to protect me, she should expect the same in return.
Gun bans disarm victims, putting them at the mercy of murderers or terrorists who think nothing of breaking the gun laws.

I'd most definitely risk my life to save my dogs. I'd even do it for someone else's dog. Not because "They're people too" but because I wont sit there and watch a living thing suffer.
