I believe that, were it to remain, the statue will be a recurring wound to the multitude of individuals across the nation and beyond who have been the victims of child abuse," Erickson said in a statement released at 7 a.m. Sunday.

Excellent. Too bad he is not alive to see his statue go bye bye.

Yup. I was thinking the same thing. As big as he was at that school, I don't believe for 1 second that he knew nothing. I am sure there are also higher ups still there that knew what was going on. School deserves the death penalty. Screw them.
They thought they could hide it, because of this 'power' they thought they had. makes me sick.

That's right. Take the statue down and everything is better. Make heads roll to make everyone feel better, and in reality nothing changes. This sort of thing will happen over and over again. When will people realize that pedophiles don't hang out in retirement homes?

They said it will go into hiding or something. I think they are gonna break it up, and bury it somewhere. Or at least they should.

No, it won't stop them. As far as this incident goes, something had to be done, and this is a start. Sandusky will get his in jail. That's fine in my book. They deserve the death penalty next. They all knew, and they all deserve to die.

Well yeah, they University is trying to save face, hoping the NCAA won't levy more penalties against them. I don't think that's how it's going to go down. There are reports already this morning, that the NCAA could put the death penalty against them.
They have to do something. What is the university suppose to do? I for one at least think this is a start. not having football there ever again, is another start. Screw Penn State, and screw their football program.
