Were you at the Red Bridge (yes, I know it's painted green now) boat launch? I came by there yesterday around 1400 and there was a green Honda with one of those big ass spoilers on it that came out of there pretty quick. Not saying they had anything to do with it, but maybe a call to the PD and see if they had any other reports in the area involving that type of vehicle.

Years ago while fishing up the street at the "goose hole" someone stole my tailgate. It's a pain in the ass. You'd think people with the same type of intrests, especially the outdoors, would be cool.

They saw your truck. They saw the NES sticker. They knew you were a gun owner. They smashed the rear window. They opened your truck. They looked at your registration to see where you live and keep the guns. They locked the door and closed it to make it look like nothing was taken.

    That's my guess.

Sucks it happened, good luck getting it fixed.

Would the average thief even recognize a nes zombie sticker as being gun related? Sure there's a little gun on it but it isn't all that obvious to most.

They'd probably thought it meant retro gaming.

Man that would suck. Of coarse they would get nothing if that were the case. I have taken appropriate "precautions" to guard against such treachery.
I think this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part. Otter

Maybe it was a disgruntled ex-NESer that was banned, saw the sticker which sparked deep down anger for the forum and took it out on your window.

I think it's just part of the devolving situation we find ourselves in. No respect for our elders, property of others, etc. It's probably going to get worse too.
Back in 2006 when I bought a new car - I had a few people tell me not to put an NRA decal on it - because it will get the car damaged. I put one on anyway - and haven't seen anything bad happened yet.

The thing with an NRA decal though - is that they look an awful lot like a Marine Corp decal. You can't tell the difference really until you look closer. So I think a lot of people just don't notice.

Gadsden decals are something different - they're very distinct and an awful lot of people think that the "tea partiers" are somehow destroying the country by wanting to shut off their welfare.

My hope is that the Free Shit Army goes so mental that they overwhelm the authoritaes. Because then the authoritaes won't be able to stop the rest of us from taking out the Free Shit Army in return.
