"Combat Pawn"
New TV series starting July 15 on TRU TV.
I just saw the first blurb, it looks to be about a gun shop/pawn shop with a range.

Too bad its going to be on "Tru" TV. That means its going to be fake as all the other shows on that channel. Sounds like a good concept though.
Please don't feed the democrats.

I worked at that shop for a little over 5 years (2003-2008) as a counter jockey and then the gunsmith. As an employee I defended their crappy business practices and sky high prices during that time but it just got to be too much and there were also personal conflicts with the owner. First off this show is close to 100% scripted with manufactured drama between the manager & owner. Most of the "transactions" are fake and some are even with some employees who are playing customers off the street. One example to look out for is a "transaction" with a guy "selling" a M1A rifle in a Juggernaut Tactical Rogue chassis and a Nightforce scope w/some other accessories and they settled on a price of around 7,200.00...but the real problem is that the guy works for Juggernaut and it is a company rifle, so he can't sell it. It was a sale solely for the camera with a fake story (he was selling it for school tuition for his kids...that's the TV story) so think how the series will go.
The shop has a pretty bad rep here in town for being over priced with arrogant and condescing staff so it will be "interresting" to see how it plays out after editing. They do have a 25yd indoor range but it is balls hot in the summer & damn cold in the winter. The outdoor range footage is actually of Range 37 in Bunnlevel, not at Guns Plus.
Finally it will be interresting how the new "gunsmith" will be portrayed as the shop advertises him as a "certified gunsmith" yet he not only doesn't have a degree he hasn't apprentanced under anybody. Supposedly he did some builds for the show bu I wonder if he actually did them because they have very few machines. It looks like they finally settled on a show name. It was originally called "Danger Pawn" then "Hardcore Pawn: Fort Bragg" and now "Combat Pawn".

You know what pisses me off, every single thing that gets shot in these shows blows sky high.
