Default Well, Ellie's not coming down for breakfast tomorrow

As I said in another thread, my 14 year old dog, Ellie, was going downhill fast. She was a great dog and gave our family many memories. She had been in pain for awhile. Now she's at rest...we will miss you

Sorry to hear about your loss. It's little comfort, but if she's been suffering, at least her pain is at an end.

14 years is a good run. Sorry for your loss.

Dog's are gifts from God. I'm sorry my man. Really am.

"She got the worst of it," Calvo said. "She was literally in the kitchen, cooking a lovely pasta dish, and they brought down the door and shot our dogs." While he was being held, Calvo said, he told police he is the town's mayor, but they didn't believe him.

Sorry for your loss, I am sure she had a great 14 years as part of your family!! We have had German Shephards all of our lives and when we have lost a member of our family this has brought us comfort. I hope it helps you as well.

    Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heavenis a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that petgoes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run andplay together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm andcomfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor;those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as weremember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each misssomeone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops andlooks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers.Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legscarrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, youcling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kissesrain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you lookonce more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life butnever absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
