Minnesota Man Brutalized by SWAT Executive Officer for Talking Loud on Cell Phone

An epidemic of police brutality and outright crazy behavior from law enforcement was illustrated once again, as an executive officer of the Minneapolis SWAT team "Superman" punched Brian Vander Lee for talking too loud on his cell phone while standing on the patio of a restaurant.
The account given by Brian Vander Lee's friend in the video below perfectly captures the disbelief when those who are sworn to protect the public become predators. An interesting background note is mentioned about the assailant, Sgt. David Clifford, in the Raw Story article about the incident:

this is messed up but im not sure if this would classify as police brutality given that he wasnt on duty. Although i doubt being on duty would of stopped him from potentially doing this to someone else. Just a messed up situation whatever way you look at it.

Yeah, this is NOT cop brutality. However, I can only imagine the pleasure of dealing with this guy when he was in the uniform. Do not want to jump to conclusion, but I am guessing being a soldier in Iraq and SWAT commander at least partly contributed to this aggression.

Then the question that gets posed to the judge at the trial should be:
"your honor - if I am to understand your ruling correctly, are you saying that if I go and serve in the military, then come back and join up in a police force - I will legally entitled to come back and punch Sgt. David Clifford - right upside his freaking head??"

I don't know about Minn, but my brother in law is a retired state cop and he was always on duty before he retired. I remember 2 Lynn cops were fired after they refused to go to the aid someone because they were on there supper break. This was a good 30 years ago IIRC.
