    Default Bookers Bourbon

Was out at Strega last night, having a particularly DAMNED good lobster tail and filet, when I wanted a drink. The waiter came back around, I said get me a dry Manhattan. He asked if I had a bourbon preference - this being Strega and knowing they don't have cheap shit there, I said 'surprise me.'

well, I was very surprised. He came back with a Manhattan with Bookers - gotta say, one of the smoothest, if not sweetest bourbons I've ever had. Even if it is as expensive as ****, its going to the back of the liquor cabinet where I keep the good, ie non-mexican, cigars.

Bookers is the best. If you like bourbon you have to have a bottle on hand.
Be warned it is expensive, close to $50 for a 750ml.
It is the also the strongest bourbon you can buy. 124 proof I think and smooth.
I have tried bakers but was no a fan at all, kind of harsh.
For me its Eagle rare for every day drinking and Bookers for the Special events.

Have a bottle myself, some damned good stuff. First time I tried it I thought my throat was on fire.

This - both are very nice. Try Bulleit as well.
