Got my second summons today in the mail.

I've lucked out and only had to actually show up once. They read my questionnaire and the defense used one of their peremptory challenges. IIRC, was a OUI 8th. Might have something to do with working in EMS, having most of the family in PD/FD, and having lost a friend or two in OUI crashes. Apparently they thought i'd be a bad fit.

I was called last year to Lawrence. Sat the Am waiting and the room was dismissed. 3 weeks later I got another notice for Jury Duty. Obviously I complained and discovered that Federal Jury Duty has nothing to do with the state system so in spite of completing my JD 3 weeks prior I still had to go for the Federal one.
