Motorcycle ride and bug in ear.......
The down side of this great warm weather is that all the damn bugs are out. Never had this happen before but as I was having a lot of fun on a way back road through the woods a bug flew right into my ear and into my ear canal. I could feel the damn thing in there and it was bothering the crap out of me. Had to pull over and swing my head around like when you have water in year ear. Stopped feeling it moving, but I wasn't sure it came out.
Fast forward to this morning my ear was not feeling good at all. The wife went to the pharmacy and picked up some ear drops and something like turkey baster that shoots water into your ear. After doing putting the drops in and flushing my ear with water, the bug came out. Some stupid little black fly. Ear feels fine now. Go figure.
Never had that happen before and I hope it never happens again. That sucked! Anyone else have that happen?Winner of my 2013 Pan Mass Challenge Raffle is DitchDigger!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

oh man, sorry it sucks but still kind of funny.

And yes, when I was about 15 years old I was walking with my dad at Mount Wachusett and a huge moth flew into my ear and was fluttering around it felt like inside my brain, and about 4 hours later it finally came out. Worst experience of my life.

Friday. That was the weirdest, most uncomfortable feeling I've had in a while. I was in traffic too without a decent place to pull off for a while. I even did the retarded attempt to scratch my ear through the helmet maneuver. This was with a full face helmet.
Weather has been beautiful. I've put almost 1,000 miles on in less than 2 weeks.Last edited by Jamie; 03-25-2012 at 08:42 PM.

Been riding since 1969 and had bugs in nose, mouth, eye...but not in the ear.
Of course I always wear a helmet. Or a half helmet with ear covers.
I hate them damn bugs!!!
You are lucky it wasn't worse though.
Good riding these past few weeks.
I have 300 miles this year already.
Later;

Sorry for laughing at you, but that's pretty funny. You must have been psyched to get the thing out!
I had a wasp come in through my open visor once. Worst part was the few seconds it crawled around between the padding and my left temple knowing it was probably about to sting me. It just kept stinging until I pulled over and got the helmet off.

this may sound sick but I too have been penetrated by a bug in my nose ear and mouth while riding. It will eventually happen. If you ride at night they are attracted to your headlight and usually end up somewhere near your face at 55mph. June bugs off the bare forehead hurt too.... just an FYI.
