    Default Attack in Providence

Last night my daughter went on a date in Providence. They were by the Providence Performing Arts Center sitting on a bench after having pizza when a group of teens (about 19 year old's) walked by, my daughter said there were at least 6. Ten minutes later the group came back from two directions and started with the "you say something" crap. They began attacking her date and robbed him of his phone, they did not get his wallet. She is OK they did not touch her, but her date did take a beating and from what my daughter said, could have used some stitches. They did give descriptions to police and were told officers were in the process of searching for them.

Just want to let you know attacks can come at any moment.

Sounds like the first pass was recon. Glad to see everybody's relatively OK.

A thing to remember: Criminals don't make appointments. Probably something to relay to the boyfriend.

That sucks. I am glad your little girl was untouched but it still sucks. OC for her and a collapsible baton for him
"And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti."

This. As with any weapon or approach to self defense: practice, practice, practice. Muscle memory is a beautiful thing.

This. A baton to the jaw will change anyone's priorities from assaulting you to eating through a straw real quick.

I was told the guy is a martial arts instructor, but when it's six against one, the odds were still against him..

Thank God your girl is OK. That tactic of approaching from two directions is a clue. Too bad her friend didn't get a chance to bust a face or two.
