You can't improve upon perfection... no need to color it. The only way to make bacon better is to add more bacon.

Um, if a kid chooses to not eat bacon, I doubt makign it pretty colors will change his mind. Other than vegetarian hippies, who doesnt' like bacon?Ever had trouble getting your kids to eat their meat? Well, we can just about guarantee that the kiddies won’t turn down a rainbow of sweet, sweet bacon.

I was shocked to learn that a "serving" of bacon is just TWO slices. What the hell am I going to do with TWO slices of bacon? Oh that's right, I'm going to eat them while I cook the rest of a pound.
If colored bacon were a commercial product, I would give it FAIL status immediately. But as a fun project with the kids, why not? And as a take-off of the Easter breakfast idea, I would recommend a green Irish breakfast on St. Paddy's day.
