Officially made a sticky, and those who know of someone, not already listed, may post their name here for the honor they truely deserve.

I'll go through and add more tomorrow. Have to figure out an easier way for me to do this.

Copter Crash Kills 14 U.S. Soldiers
    Published: August 22, 2007

BAGHDAD, Aug. 22 — Fourteen American soldiers died when their helicopter crashed in northern Iraq today, the military said, as Iraq’s prime minister threatened to “find friends elsewhere” if the Americans withdrew support for his administration.

Military officials said mechanical failure appeared to have brought down the Black Hawk UH-60, which crashed during an operation overnight while traveling with a second helicopter. Lt. Col. Christopher Garver, a military spokesman in Iraq, said the incident was being investigated...

The helicopter crash appeared to be the deadliest since January 2005, when a Marine helicopter, a CH-53E Super Stallion, hit the ground in a desert sandstorm near the Jordanian border, killing all 31 people aboard. In January this year, a helicopter crash caused by insurgent fire killed 12 service members.

The crash came on a day when the alliance between Iraq’s Shiite prime minister and the American government continued to fray.

If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen. ---Samuel Adams

Is there a website that has up to date reports? I just saw someone on facebook post "In Senator Kennedy's memory, let's pass healthcare reform. It will be his greatest legacy."

Needless to say, I had to resist from putting my fist through my screen.

God bless the true heroes out there who protect even those who are too ignorant to understand

I'll be getting an updated listing from the DOD pretty soon.
