Default Free NRA membership for Active Duty members

I don't know how many people know this, but the NRA is giving free annual memberships to active duty members. I did this myself early last month (Jan.) and received my membership packet a week ago. http://www.nra.org/supportourtroops/

I got on there and registered. I received my membership package yesterday in the mail--it's for real. Thank you for the link!

So...this is part of the NRAs campaign to increase their numbers and nothing more?

That's what it looks like. Numbers speak volumes.

How many Americans are private gun owners?

    NRA: 4 million
    GOA: 300,000
    JPFO: 3,000

I just joined up myself. I am National Guard but it didn't ask for specifics and I just got off active duty so why not try.

That's awesome. Free membership is great, but they really need the money, too.

What more do you want? Power is in numbers and votes.
