Are these locks Mass. compliant?
The Life Jacket locks seem to be good quality, but somewhat unusual in style. Would this be sufficient to qualify as "stored" at home? It seems quite effective, but isn't a "trigger lock." However, must locks sold with handguns these days lock the action, not the trigger.

How about this; would this be compliant for transporting in a car? I think this is an easier question, as it does lock the trigger:

For storage:

So, it looks like the top one is fine.
If it's outside of your direct control it must be in a "container" - I'd say that that's not a "container."If you pull a trigger, you have to pull together.

Massachusetts' rulers thinks that SCOTUS decisions don't apply to them, and their policies.....
You think that a TSA opinion will carry more weight?

I would concur that storage = good to go. Transport = go to jail..

I share your concern, but the manufacturers website does state that they are TSA accepted: http://www.mseworldwide.com/pdf/LJ1_Features.pdf. The TSA uses the word "container" as well:
Travelers may only transport UNLOADED firearms in a locked, hard-sided container in or as checked baggage. All firearms, ammunition and firearm parts, including firearm frames and receivers, are prohibited in carry-on baggage.
It would be great if there were some authority one could bring this to for a definitive answer. Of course, if you throw it in a locked trunk, you should be all set, but some of us don't have trunks.

The answers are here. Okay per 131L for storage, not okay for transportation unless it's also in a "locked truck, locked case, or other secure container". It is none of those on it's own. Same applies for flying as it, by itself, is not a locked hard sided case.
