Looking for an electric meat grinder
Can anybody recommend a good electric meat grinder for processing game? My brothers and I are old enough now (mid 40's) that we have become impossible to shop for unless we have a very specific need. I have it on good faith that my brother, who is an avid hunter, as is his wife, does not own an electric meat grinder. He and my other brother use a manual grinder during hunting season. His birthday is coming up in two weeks, and I would like to get him one.
He will be using it mainly for deer, but he hunts other big game as well. I'd like to get him something that will last for a long time, and would preferably be in the under $200 range.
Anybody have a meat grinder that they love? Can you at least school me in power ratings and what to look out for in electric grinders?
Thanks in advanceFREE FLINTOID!!

Hobart is the best, but you pay for it. Cabela's makes a fairly reliable one. I have experience with the commercial grade 1hp, it works great!

Yeah, Hobart is the business, but it's not cheap.
If he has a kitchen aid, the grinder attachment is pretty good, but he'd probably want to kill someone if he had to grind out more than 25# at a stint.Immer rein und raus.

I have a cabelas grinder. Think it's the smallest one in the commercial line 1/3 hp or something. Well made grinds easily and blades and parts are right at cabelas. I do 4 plus deer per year with it and haven't ever had any issues. I make sausage with it to.

Thanks for the input. I checked out the Hobarts, but they are a lot more than I am looking to spend. I'm sure they are worth the money.
I'll look into the Cabelas grinders. They seem to be pretty well reviewed. I'll have to decide in the next week or so and get it ordered.
Thanks again.FREE FLINTOID!!

This is what I use, Villa Ware. I've ground up ingredients for making relish, pork for sausage, roasts to make hamburger. It works well and is pretty easy to clean too.Attachment 27650
