Fighting your local police cheif for a LTC ( Unrestricted )

Dam Right. There is a bill in the house that would change that. H 1567 It is a shall issue bill. I found it on the GOAL web sight. I have been writing to house reps but I am not getting a reply. That is why I have been trying to figure out how to get some more people behind the issue. It is not just a Second amendment issue. It is part of our right to self defence. I believe that is in the constitution as well. Life, liberty and the persecute of happiness. If you can not defend you self you can have none of them.

Move. To a better town or out of state. Seriously. You're wasting your time if you think you're going to go to court and win an upgrade.

The thing that makes it even more frustrating is the police Have no duty to protect individuals. See general laws chap 258 sec 10 sub section (h). And they are the ones that decide if "I" deserve the ability to defend my self.

We know. The constitution has been quoted more times on here than Eli Manning has thrown interceptions in his career. None of that will work in your favor. Your rights are not the chiefs priority. You will not make him think differently alone, accept that first, the research this site. Spinning your wheels gets you know where. Learn from what others have done already.

its frustrating and if your rights are violated its easy to react in a detrimental way. Take a breath, you are not alone, you are not being singled out. This is common.

Common or not it needs to change.

Consider becoming a full member of NES (it has a lot of benefits), join GOAL, donate to Comm2A. Vote for legislators that support 2A. Maybe, more importantly, take non gun owners to the range and turn them on to gun ownership (doing so safely of course), once people become interested they will see how bad the laws in MA are if they chose to pursue a LTC

F*** the NRA. They blocked essential pro-2A legislation to keep themselves relevant.

The NRA throws jabs. Comm2A and SAF throw first round knockout haymakers.

Few things to keep in the back of your mind at all times:
1) The government is NOT your friend
2) The police are generally NOT your friend (except officer obie and a few others, they are cool)
3) Politicians are there to help themselves, not the people. The NRA supporting politician isn't necessarily a pro-2A politician. The only thing standing between big gov and your freedom is the existence of 2A. Don't think for two seconds that the GOP wouldn't go turncoat on us if they thought it meant more power. They are playing the cards they are dealt because it gets votes, nothing more
4) Fudds are NOT your friend. They are the worse than the anti-gun crowd. They would ban everything except over/under brownings and remmy 700s if they could. A gun owner that says to you "why do you NEED that?" is not anyone you want to associate with. They're bad for our cause, and they give antis a platform of "reasonable gun owners accept reasonable restrictions". BS.

Last but not least, Libertarians ARE your friend. (sorry GOP guys, have to try and convert them early and often)
