When shooting your semi
Make sure to breathe through your nose. I had .45ACP brass hit me right on my lips below my nose. I know hot brass can go down your shirt but it would suck landing in your mouth and maybe choking on it.

You can significantly increase safety by wearing a full face helmet as well.

Baseball cap and Oakley M Frames. The Oakleys sit snug against my forehead and the ball cap deflects most if not all of any brass that finds it way toward my face. Learned my lesson. Bandana doesn't hurt either kinda like this......
