    Default Colt Woodsman problem

My friends uncle has a colt woodsman that wont fire. The trigger feels mushy and isn't working. Mag works fine and a round is chambered when slide closes. He said his friend cleaned it, and after 70 rounds, it stopped firing.

    Help appreciated

I'd look to see if the disconnector is hung up.

We can't even get the slide off. We're following the YouTube video and manual, but when we push the button down and push the slide forward the spring tension isn't released.

One manual says to pull the trigger after the pin is pushed down and the slide is pushed back forward, but our trigger is mushy and not working properly.

I think you need a good gunsmith. Trying to fix a problem like this, from a distance, without being able to lay hands on is almost impossible.

My "guess" is that something in the internals is really fracked-up.
