Love the comments to this one. As expected though:
Rural gun freak. When is this nation gonna come to its senses?
We can't stop NRA lobbying, but we can change peoples' attitudes. This filmed situation should be used in a TV spot as the basis of an anti-gun PR campaign. I'll contribute to that--makes more sense than giving money to greedy, sociopathic politicians!
and
just about cover it.
Edit to add: not that I think the guy with the gun was anything other than dumb and he does contribute to giving the rest of us a bad image. It's just sad that so many people buy in to that bad image of gun owners.Last edited by Silversnake; 03-23-2012 at 08:29 PM.

Personally, I believe if the media started reporting the news instead of editorializing and slanting every story, this wouldn't have happened. People can no longer get a fair trial in the courts anymore. The media dictates the outcome.
"Liberals are not like most Americans. They are the biggest pussies on Earth, city-bred weaklings who didn't play a sport and have never been in a fight in their entire lives. Their mothers made excuses for them when they threw tantrums and spent way too much time praising them during toilet training."-Ann Coulter

I love listening closely to that reporter. All professional and educated-sounding when she's narrating to set up the clip. Then, in the clip, she starts to "Oprah it up" to the guy - making her accent thicker and changing her speach patterns. Hilarious. I also like how she tries to really lay into the guy from the start by describing "a speeding truck comes to a screeching stop". LOL

All I can say is that the responding officer is lucky he didn't have to pursue the suspect on foot...

The man, later identified as Brandon Odom, yelled at the news team to turn off the camera and leave the property. After Thompson told him he could not touch the camera, Odom quickly returned to his car and pulled out a gun.
