Just finished up this J-Frame holster for a member tonight. I made up a jig so that I could mold the Kydex further up the cylinder. This will help with drawing and reholstering. As it keeps the Kydex above the belt line. Most Kydex hosters for revolvers are cut along the top of the cylinder. This puts it below the belt line. Causing the cylinder to catch on your pants when drawing.

I've had a few people ask about different leather cuts. So here are few pics describing each.

This is a full leather back. It has more of a combat cut to it. I could add more behind grip area at the customers request.

This is the bare bones style. There is just enough leather to protect the pistol and keep it off your body.

I had some small scrap pieces of Kydex laying around. I didn't want to throw them away so I whipped up this pocket knife sheath.

How did your "convertible" holster work out?
If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen. ---Samuel Adams

RichM: The "convertible" style holster is still in the prototyping stage. There are a couple things I need to change on it before I'll be happy selling them. I planned on trying to find the time this week to work on that and a new mag carrier idea.

I made this prototype mag carrier Friday night.

In the end.......family is all that matters!

New Hampshire gun shops are like strip clubs. You can look at all the nice stuff, but none of it will be leaving in your pants for the ride home!
