J. C. Higgins Model 101.1 aka Savage Model 94C
I recently received an old 16 gauge J.C. Higgins Model 101.1, which is essentially a Savage model 94C sold by Sears Roebuck & Company under J.C. Higgins. It was a relative's closet gun, that was handed down to me. I have an FA-10 set aside for it, but I can't seem to locate a serial Number anywhere on this shotgun. Any one have any ideas?

It looks like there is no Serial Number, I have inspected up and down the shotgun closely. Will that affect the FA-10 submission process? I would imagine I'd put N/A or something like that in the space for the serial number. Also, will this registration count towards my transfers limit if I make some future purchases?

>>It looks like there is no Serial Number<<
The gun you have is "pre serial number". My very first gun was almost just like that, but an Iver Johnson. (back in 1958)Marines - Providing Enemies of America an Opportunity To Die For their Country Since 1775

NSN, not a problem, it's pre '68 and they were not required.
If you pull a trigger, you have to pull together.
