    Default M4 / M16 25 Meter Zeroing Target

NES has 2 options so far to print out their own free M16A2 style zero targets.

    Option 1:
I recently scanned in a old Army zeroing target i have left over for use on my own M4A3. This is a very helpful and easy to use zero target. If anyone wants a scanned copy of it please PM me with your email so i can send it to you. Its a microsoft word 2003 file on the heavy side (6.3 megs).
The target does have 9 bullet holes in it, but i filled them in and repaired the target, so now it only has minor cosmetic problems.

This is how the target looks, but be warned, if you try to print the above image out it will more then likely be out of proportion and will make your zeroing process longer.
just shoot me a PM and ill send you the in proportion copy if your interested in it.

3rd targat data is as follows-
"AFTER COMPLETION OF THE 25 METER ZERO, ROTATE THE REAR SIGHT ELEVATION KNOB BACK ONE CLICK TO THE 300/800 METER MARK, THE WEAPON WILL BE ZEROED FOR 300 METERS."

    Option 2
vicpinto has given us this link ( http://www.bobdbob.com/~deneb/doc/ta...2-25m-zero.pdf ) to a PDF M16A2 zero target. it prints out better then mine as its "new". however, it is NOT TO SCALE of the original one that option 1 is. if you do not mind taking a little longer to zero then option 2 will work just fine.

    Dench

    thanks for the file.

It looks OK detail-wise, but it prints very light for some reason.

I'm going to try and use it though, by darkening the blocks and target and sight instructions by hand, and them hopefully I can copy that on a Xerox.

If this works it will save me from ordering zeroing targets from Bushmaster, which I used the first time I zeroed an M15

Could you send me the third rule in a PM?

    Thanks.

    Guys,

Check out my post here. There's a direct link to a zeroing target in a PDF form.

    Dench,

I got to play with the file you sent me and with the one in PDF. You are right, the PDF prints a littlle smaller but there is a reason for that. The file is slightly bigger that the max allowable printing dimension for an 8.5 by 11 inch piece of paper. On my printer driver it was automatically selecting "shrink to fit" in the page scalling option and shrinking the size to 97% of the original. When I changed the page scalling to "none" it ends up printing out at the same dimensions as your file.

25 meter zero targets are different for the m4 and m16a2/3/4.

and it will be different for your 16 inch barrel vs the 14.5 on the sopmod.

unless you are zeroing an aimpoint or acog, if you try to go box by box youll drive yourself nuts. trust me.

Yup I know that. The number of click needed to center will be less the shorter the barrel is but the direction of the clicks as per the chart will still be the same. It will get you there... as long as you remember that caveat.
