    Personal Defense at Home

    Cost: $75 Duration: 3 Hours

    In Massachusetts there are over 30,000 violent crimes per year! That means that every hour 3.3 violent crimes occur. Home invasions are happening more and more in our communities. If you made the decision to have a firearm to protect yourself and your family then this is a class that you MUST take.

    Our Personal Defense at Home course develops the basic knowledge, skills and attitude essential to the safe and effective use of a firearm for the protection of yourself and your family along with providing information on the law abiding person's right to self-defense in the home.

    Self-Defense and the Laws of Deadly Force for your state are covered along with the aftermath of a justified defensive shooting. Practical exercises in enhanced Gun Handling Skills, Safety Strategies and planning for how to respond to avoid Potential Threats around your home. Proven advice on firearm selections and ammunition choices along with additional equipment options (cell phones, lights, etc.) will be covered in the class.

    Some of the topics we will cover are:

    * Defensive Shooting Safety
    * Rules for Safe Gun Storage
    * Mental Preparations and Defensive Mindset
    * Developing Defensive Shooting Skills, Shooting Positions and Cover/Concealment
    * Proper equipment needed
    * Legal issues
    * What should you say to police
    * When you need to call your attorney

    This class will be held at our Woburn facility. At the end of the class participants will have the opportunity to be put in shoot-no-shoot scenarios using our state of the art firearms simulator.

    Hey DRFT,

    When is the next class for this training? Awaiting my LTC, October -ish for Class A.

    I would be interested in this, and is Matt D. , a choice of Instructors I can request? Took his class for State police Certificate, and enjoyed his approach .

    Thanks
