Well, as everyone knows how it goes, I'm running into a wall at every corner with MA! Can't get a PSA lower at all, and Even though I'm only an hr from American Weapons systems they still have to FFL it to MA. Also, Del- Ton and Spikes are both out of uppers. Looks like either a Spikes, Windham Weaponry or AWS lower and a Stag post-ban upper.

I bought my upper here: http://www.jsesurplus.com/completefactoryar15upper.aspx and had it less than a week. I did have to take care of the muzzle brake myself.

All of those are pretty much a good bet. I have an AWS upper/lower combo and the fit and finish is perfect - can't imagine it being any better than it is. I've heard great things about Windham as well - ex Bushmaster folks. Nice to keep it local with those two companies.

For sure. Now that I've gotten into the brand world and see what's available vs. back ordered, I've kind of turn this into a regional project. It would be cool to make this gun out of 100% new England made parts. AWS is out of stock on lowers, so I think I'm going to get a Yankee Hill machine lower and the stag upper, and add a Troy industries drop in. Only parts from outside new England will be the buttstock and LPK(snagged a PSA kit for 39.99).

Anyone have an opinion on the Stag 2h and buying a Troy quadrail or just buying the 2ht with the Samson rail? I can get the 2h for 499 or the 2ht for 655.

Samson makes good rails. It's mostly personal preference when it comes to those things. Troy makes good stuff as well, and again is a local company based out of Springfield.

I don't understand why PSA won't ship a lower to MA. I sent them some emails, but never got a straight answer. That being said, I have bought a lot of stuff from them. Good prices and for a few months they had free shipping. I did buy a stripped upper from PSA. ON the end where the gas tube goes, there was a DSA (not PSA) roll mark. I found that interesting. Upper was GTG.
