Saiga IZ 340
These are coming in with half the conversion work done for you. Its a no brainer to pay a few extra bucks for one of them especially when you don't have to remove the gas and sight block to instal a real Russian LHG.:D

and it has the russian "double rivet." That is a dead give away to a modern russian AK as anything. And I still don't know why the hell they do it.
Looking good, Ray. You do some nice conversions, that's for sure. The sling and plum goes nicely together, IMO. And it appears that mag originated from the same confines as that rifle at one point in it's early life.

I picked it up when a friend ordered one, I can't remember where it came from but just about every major distributor carries the IZ Saigas now in 5.45x39 and 7.62x39.
Since Saigas don't come in with a factory bullet guide, they have a bolt stop that consists of a massive rivet that goes in from the side right before the chamber. I think that's what gives the double rivet look.
One really cool thing on these is the Izzy stamp on the front trunnion with a serial number. And that is a plum scrubbed Izzy mag.;)
