Damn. I thought is was millimeters. Now I'm gonna have to start the ark all over again. Need more gopher wood, too!

At least it's only rain. Just think every inch of rain translates into a foot of snow. It could be a lot worse.

True...but with my new windows taking about 6 weeks to come in...and the water subsequently landing on our new hardwood floors (and warping them)...I do not enjoy it!

While I was in the hospital getting my hip replaced, during that big rain storm, my wife was home and saw the tell tale wet bathroom ceiling on the 2nd floor. I had the whole rear roof shed (Cape style house) stripped and reroofed last Thursday. Better not leak.

A Cubit is the length of your forarm, from elbow to outstretched finger tips.

I may know how to use the Metric System, but I don't have to use it! [laugh]

Franklin Park Zoo is out. You can't carry there.[wink]

BTW, according to an old song I've heard, we lost the unicorns in the last great flood. They just kept running around playing and missed the boat. That's why, "You're never gonna see a unicorn."

I'm glad we got our roof fixed last week. This will be the test. (^_^)

BTW, one of the talking heads this morning (forget which) was forecasting localized accumulations in the 10-12" range for parts of the Connecticut River Valley and central MA. (Don't you love it when they go overboard?)

If we're going to get that much around here, I just hope that I don't fall overboard...

The last NWS forecast called for less rain in the Connecticut River Valley than previously forecasted. But eastern Mass is Shiite-out-of-luck.

Just an FYI. A Federal Disaster Declaration has been issued for Essex, Middlesex, Worcester, Suffolk, Norfolk, Bristol and Plymouth Counties. Individuals and business owners who have sustained property damage or suffered other losses not covered by insurance may be able to get some assistance. You can go to fema.gov or call 1-800-621-3362.

Yes, we need rain, blah blah blah... but frankly I'd be perfectly happy if the state was dry as a popcorn fart for 6-12 months or more. This is just getting absurd... you'd think we lived in Seattle or something.

Blitz1's bedroom?

Please don't take the animals from Blitz1's bedroom.

Otherwise you are going to find out what they meant when they said " and the horse shall not lay down with the monkey" and: " the shepherd should reserve his affection for his wife and not his flock".

You take the animals from Blitz1's bedroom and you are going to make that ark into a modern day version of one of Caligula's boats.
