About two weeks ago, Peter Hamm of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence used the word "lunacy" to describe the people who are buying guns. Additionally, he stated "I question the sanity of the extremists that are buying up guns"
I have a few comments on these lunatics. I have been deeply involved with what I will call shooters. By using the word shooters, I am not including those people that just buy guns and ammo to have but almost never shoot. I am also not including, those people that shoot once or twice a year. I am including those people that shoot regularly and attend occasional classes to improve their skills. You know who you are

I salute the shooters for what they are. They are painfully honest, moral, and ethical. Not one of these people has ever got back on their word to me, gave me a bad check or cheated me in any way. I wish that some of my clients, over the years had been as good.

These people are my friends and I trust them. If these people are lunatics (insane), I think we all need more insanity in our lives.

Bravo to all of you.

I'd like to make Peter Hamm swallow his teeth.

Anyone that blames inanimate objects is a lunatic. Peter Hamm is one.

I think that both of you missed the point of what I wrote.
It is a given that Peter Hamm is a liberal and obviously a democRAT,

Have pity on him, for his head is in the clouds and he thinks that a perfect world is possible. But, then again, he is the sane one.

My comments are about my insane, lunatic "Shooter" friends. They are some of the best people in the world.

Have pity on him, for his head is in the clouds...

I believe that his head is somewhere else. [wink]

Anyway, I am happy to be a "lunatic" and really glad to be able to hang out with other "lunatics". [smile]

A dark, dank, stinky hole between his legs.

Let me confirm Jim's generalization. I've been teaching firearm classes for close to 20 years. Over that time, I've never asked for a deposit before a class, asked for payment before the class started, or bothered to verify how much cash someone handed me or the amount on a check. I've never once been shorted in the slightest. I had someone on this forum in an instructor class some time back who was having financial problems and, while he paid me, didn't have the additional money at the time for the NRA processing fees. I told him not to worry about it and paid it myself. He recently contacted me, apologized for taking so long, and wanted to know the amount so that he could pay me back. I told him not to worry about it and to just pay it forward to somebody else. He said that he, of course, would, but that he wanted to pay me as well. He was insistent and sent me a check immediately after4 learning the amount involved. Over the years I've learned trust shooters more than I would any other group of people I know, including most family.

About Hamm being a democrat I'm not sure. If I remember correctly a number of the brady group are republicans.
