Default 2012 Pelham, NH Appleseed Events

2012 Is almost upon us, and so far we have three events lined up at Pelham Fish and Game:

    Jun 9,10
    Sep 15,16
    Dec, 8,9

You can find some generic info about the Pelham, NH shoots here.

    But wait theres more!

For 2012 we now have board approval to use a 200 yard range onsite! Sunday afternoon we will be taking shooters over to this range to put some of this instruction to the test. Here is your chance to shoot out and see some of the known distance instruction at work. If you have a centerfire rifle make sure you bring it. If not don't worry, we can figure out what your .22 does out to 200 yards.

This is a great chance to shoot out to distance without taking a long drive, so register early!

Talked a friend into registering, and I will be doing so as well. Can't wait.

For the 200 yard range, and suggestions for gear or rifle? Would a shooting jacket be suggested?

You shouldn't need a shooting jacket to hit out to 200 yards (or 500 for that matter), but it can help. You'll probably find it cold enough that a winter jacket will do you more good.

For the majority of the weekend make sure you have a reliable rifle and mags to hold at least 40 rounds. Try for at least two mags for any center fire rifle you may bring for Sunday at the 200 yard range. If you don't have a center-fire we can definitely reach out to 200 without any problems with a .22.

    See you there!

This shoot is currently sold out for April 21-22.... anyone try to register or wanted to register but couldn't? If there is enough interest I will see about opening up a second bay for more shooters.

The board approved increasing our capacity for the April 21-22 shoot. Expect evenbrite to reflect that sometime today. The increased number of spots is limited, so make sure you register ASAP to secure you spot on the line!

Two more dates were added for this location: June 9,10 and Dec 8,9. The 200 yard range has been a blast so far, if you haven't had a chance to shoot out to 200 yards this is definitely a good shoot to sign up for!

Reminder guys, this event is less than a week away. If were lucky the rain disappears before this weekend and we have a great event. There are plenty of spots on the line, so if you missed the shoot in April nows a great chance to get to the shoot at Pelham.

Cool, see you then. The remaining spaces are starting to fill up so if you were planning to go to this shoot, I would make sure to pre-register and reserve your spot.
